What does this blog need?

I’ve been feeling a bit ambivalent about this blog for a while. The tweets were taking the place of content, turning the blog into an overblown Twitter account; I’m the only one writing these days; there are so few comments, etc.

So, what does the blog need?

Cam has suggested doing a design overhaul and choosing a new name. She also suggested a “best of” section, a few changes to the sidebar (such as most popular posts) and that I should review political books as I read them.

I’m not sure how keen people are to read my thoughts on books like Graham Freudenberg’s memoirs, Paul Kelly’s 1995 book “1975″, etc. If that is what people are interested in, so be it.

I want to keep this going but I need some sort of community of writers and commenters to give me confidence in its worth.

Sam, interest waxes and wanes from both writers and commentators. No need to worry.
